Jo Bareham BSc (Hons), MBANT, NTC, MAR

Nutritional therapy aims to optimise health through a balance of good diet and positive lifestyle.

Ignoring the problem won't make it go away......Often we don't address minor symptoms until we find ourselves very run down or when an illness develops. Poor diet combined with stress and hectic lifestyles leave our bodies depleted in nutrients contributing to a number of health problems.

"Jo helped me with a skin problem by curing my underlying digestive issues. She was thoroughly professional throughout and truly knows her subject. I am very grateful to her for not only helping to solve my problem but also the nutritional knowledge I picked up from her along the way. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services" Mike

What to expect?
You'll need to complete a questionnaire regarding your health goals, medical history, current health, diet and lifestyle along with a three-day food diary so that your current food intake can be assessed.
A food diary and questionnaire can be collected from reception or from Jo Bareham.

The first consultation:
• Takes up to 90 minutes
• Depending on which type of consultation you choose, part of the time is spent discussing the questionnaire and food diary along with what you want to achieve from the session.
• An individual dietary strategy will be created for you based upon the information you have provided and may include dietary and lifestyle modifications. After the session a printed version will be sent to you.
N.B Please note that lifestyle advice often includes exercise and physical activity, particularly where weight loss is the primary goal.

Follow-up consultations:
• Last up to 45 minutes
• Review of your symptoms and progress since the initial session. Depending on your current health and reason for seeking nutritional advice, this will influence how many times you need to come back.
Jo's approach to improving your diet and lifestyle is practical and realistic. You will not be judged, criticised or given advice that is unrealistic for you.
